LF: Geagea Cases Purely Political, not Judicial
January 5, 2001

The Lebanese Forces (LF) considered Samir Geagea's case purely political and not judicial as it is being portrayed by officials. The LF further saw that Geagea's release would mean paving the way for true national accord.

In a statement, the LF said that, subsequently, Geagea's case does not fall within a general or special amnesty law. The LF added that the decision to annul the party in 1994 was a political one and did not follow a judicial decision.
