Geagea Elated by
Besharri Elections and
in 'Perfect Shape

Samir Geagea was thrilled
in jail by the Lebanese
Forces shutout victory
in Besharri's local election
and had since undergone
a medical checkup that
proved him to be in perfect
physical shape, As Safir
reported on Friday.
"This victory
gives me a strong impetus
and cohesion in my prison,"
Geagea was quoted as saying
by his wife Strida after
she saw him in the Yarze
Defense Ministry compound
on Tuesday, the newspaper
said.
Strida then visited Samir
Thursday and requested
from State Prosecutor
Adnan Addoum to have her
husband undergo a new
medical checkup. Addoum
immediately ordered Samir
Geagea transferred to
Sacre Cœur Hospital.
The medical tests showed
the LF leader in perfect
condition, both Addoum
and Strida Geagea asserted.
Geagea has begun his 10th
year in solitary confinement.
